Golar LNG signed an EPC agreement with Yantai CIMC Raffles Offshore for a fourth floating LNG production unit, budgeted at around $2.45 billion delivered to site, with delivery expected by end-2029 and annual liquefaction capacity of 3.5 million tonnes. The unit shares specifications with FLNG Esperanza, under construction at the same yard.
Diverse Marine handed over the 26-metre catamaran crewboat Farra Tuireann to Irish operator Farra Marine, powered by four Volvo Penta IMO Tier III engines. Chinese yard Qidong Xiangyu Marine Equipment launched Blue Ocean Navigator for Shanghai Yuanwei; at 139.8 metres and 16,000 tonnes cable capacity with all-electric propulsion, it will be China's largest all-electric deep-sea cable layer. Island Offshore's Island Evolution arrived at Vard Langsten for final outfitting ahead of January 2027 delivery, and UK-based Global Marine Systems ordered a hybrid cable laying and repair vessel to be designed by Vard Design.
