Speaking at a ShipEnergy forum during Posidonia, EmissionLink managing director Philippos Ioulianou urged the European Commission to deliver detailed, enforceable rules that reconcile EU ETS, FuelEU Maritime, and the IMO’s planned Net-Zero Framework to prevent duplicate carbon costs, reporting, and compliance processes. The firm, which has already provided FuelEU emissions data for over 600 vessels, warned that without such guidance shipowners risk paying, calculating, and reporting twice, increasing cost and complexity.
