The 30 MW Éoliennes Flottantes du Golfe du Lion (EFGL) floating wind farm, located 16 km off France’s Occitanie coast, has achieved full power, owner Ocean Winds confirmed. Its three 10 MW turbines on semi-submersible floaters are now in full operational phase, with an O&M base at Port-La Nouvelle supporting over 20 local workers and annual generation of 110,000 MWh. The project, developed with Banque des Territoires, sources 99% direct European suppliers (85% French-based, 60% SMEs) and incorporates artificial marine habitats (Biohut®) as a nature-inclusive design.
