The 151-metre hybrid vessel *Discovery* was delivered to Toyo Construction on 26 June from Vard Langsten in Norway, with a cable carrying capacity of 9,000 tonnes and a beam of 28 metres. It is equipped with a removable cable lay system, two offshore cranes, a four-point mooring system, a helideck, a large battery pack, shore supply connection, and energy management system, with SeaQ power and energy storage from Vard Electro. The hull was built at Vard Shipyards Romania – Tulcea, and the keel was laid in September 2024.
