Around 5 GW of UK offshore wind capacity is expected to reach end of life in the early to mid-2030s, with the first decommissioning of roughly 1 GW of RD1 capacity set to begin in 2026–2027 and campaign activity forecast to peak between 2032 and 2034. OWC and APEM Group, via its subsidiary GoBe Consultants, signed a memorandum of understanding to combine offshore wind engineering, environmental planning and consultancy for UK clients, providing an integrated, independent technical offering on a project-by-project basis.
