Saipem adds $1.8bn Middle East offshore deal to summer haul

Saipem's scope covers engineering, procurement, construction and installation of offshore and subsea facilities, with the client undisclosed. The contract continues a busy summer for the Italian energy services contractor: in July it won an EPCI contract, in joint venture with PT Tripatra Engineers and Constructors, for an FPSO on Eni's Kutei North Hub project with a Saipem share near $2bn, followed by $400m of Aramco awards in Saudi Arabia under an existing long-term agreement.
