Great Lakes Dredge & Dock (GLDD) has taken delivery of the Acadia, a US-flagged, Jones Act-compliant subsea rock installation vessel built by Hanwha Philly Shipyard with a capacity of 20,000 tonnes of rock. The vessel will mobilise first for Equinor’s Empire Wind 1 offshore New York, then proceed directly to Ørsted’s Sunrise Wind, also offshore New York, before deploying to Europe for a major offshore wind developer through the majority of 2027.
