Customers moved 55.8 million tons through the Corpus Christi Ship Channel in Q2 2026, surpassing the previous quarterly record of 54.5 million tons set in Q1. First-half volume reached 110.3 million tons, a 7.7% increase from the prior first-half record of 102.4 million tons in the same period of 2025. LNG volumes rose 36.3% to 11.5 million tons; agricultural commodities climbed to 2.1 million tons from 189,000 tons; refined products increased 8.9% to 17.1 million tons; other bulk liquids rose 11.7% to 8.2 million tons; natural gas liquids increased 18.4% to 914,606 tons. Crude oil remained the largest category at 66 million tons, up 1.28%. Dry bulk fell 7.3% to 4.2 million tons and breakbulk declined 3.5% to 191,457 tons. CEO Kent Britton attributed the growth to completion of the ship channel improvement project last year and the port’s role in connecting U.S. products to global markets.
