Jan De Nul’s Vole au Vent installed the first of 62 Siemens Gamesa 8 MW turbines at the 500 MW Dieppe-Le Tréport offshore wind farm on 15 June. The project, located 15–17 km off the Normandy coast, is owned by Eoliennes en Mer Dieppe Le Tréport (EMDT), a consortium of Ocean Winds, Sumitomo Corporation, and Banque des Territoires. First power is expected in the coming weeks as turbines are connected to the grid, following installation of the offshore substation last year.
