More than 700 drivers across the Netherlands, Sweden and Germany tested the Seamless Charging service, which automatically starts and stops a charging session after a user links their vehicle once to an account. The system works with AC and DC chargers, requires no special hardware, and supports Volvo, Volkswagen Group, and Tesla vehicles. Vattenfall plans a gradual wider rollout from autumn 2026 in collaboration with technology partner WirelessCar.
