The FCA initiated civil proceedings on Monday against Neil Woodford and W4.0, a UAE-registered company, seeking an injunction to stop the subscription-based platform w4pz.com from allegedly providing regulated investment advice and making financial promotions without authorization. The action comes while Woodford is challenging a £46m fine and a ban from senior roles and retail fund management issued by the FCA last summer, which has yet to take effect pending a tribunal hearing.
