Neretek, a new company launched by Wood Thilsted and COP Frontier, unveiled its BC90 deep-water foundation technology designed for water depths of 60–90 metres, targeting the UK’s emerging Other Deepwater Offshore Wind category. Industry veteran Jonathan Cole was appointed executive chair. The BC90 was developed over a decade of research and uses proven technologies and existing supply chains, claiming significantly lower CAPEX than deepwater monopiles or jackets. Energy Minister Michael Shanks said the launch supports Britain’s aim to go further into deeper waters for offshore wind.
