ExxonMobil Moçambique has awarded $1.1 billion in pre-investment contracts for Rovuma LNG, the roughly $30 billion Mozambican project developed by the Area 4 co-venturers ENH, CNPC, Eni, KOGAS and ADNOC's XRG. The largest package covers subsea production systems, controls and umbilicals and went to OneSubsea UK and OneSubsea AS, with in-country work supported by Aker Solutions Mozambique.
Other awards include Advanced Technology Valve for large-bore production valves, Corinth Pipeworks and Sumitomo Corporation of Americas for line pipe, and Zhejiang Jiuli Hi-Tech Metals for mechanically lined pipe and associated systems. The contracts let suppliers begin fabricating long-lead materials. Corinth Pipeworks disclosed its award is worth $200 million to $250 million, covering roughly 250 km of LSAW linepipe from 20 to 24 inches for the offshore network.
