Samskip’s SeaShuttle will serve as the demonstrator vessel for the EU-backed HyShip project, testing liquid hydrogen at scale on the Oslo–Rotterdam freight route. Two hydrogen-powered container vessels are already under construction for the SeaShuttle initiative, and the collaboration will extend to building bunkering infrastructure to establish a green corridor between the two ports. LH2 Shipping joins the consortium to design and operate the port bunkering system and support onboard hydrogen systems, alongside partners Maritime CleanTech, LMG Marin France, ETH Zurich’s sus.lab, DNV, PERSEE, NCSR Demokritos, University of Strathclyde, Wilhelmsen Holding, Diana Shipping, and NAV-Tech.
