The contract is valued at approximately USD 110.7 million (EUR 96 million) and covers construction engineering, procurement, fabrication, and load-out of one jacket and 20 piles for the offshore substation. The jacket substructure will weigh approximately 15,000 tonnes. SK oceanplant previously entered the European offshore wind market through DolWin4 and BorWin4, signing contracts in April 2025 and delivering key components in May 2026. BalWin5 is a 2.2 GW-class HVDC platform planned for commissioning in 2033, with the GE Vernova-Seatrium consortium awarded the overall platform contract in December 2025.
