Iberdrola’s installed capacity reached 56.8 GW at end-H1 2026 after 2.3 GW of additions, more than 1.4 GW of which came from onshore and offshore wind; solar capacity rose by 1 GW and battery capacity surged 117% following new operational projects in Spain and Australia. Electricity generation edged up nearly 1% to 61,318 GWh, with offshore wind output jumping 23%, while distributed electricity increased 6.3% to 136,648 GWh, driven by a 32.6% rise in the UK from higher demand and the integration of Electricity North West. The largest regional capacity increase was in Continental Europe and Australia (up 23.2%, over 1 GW), mainly from onshore wind in Australia, Greece, and Portugal, and solar in Germany and Italy; in Spain, hydroelectric production exceeded 12,000 GWh and stored reserves stood above 8,200 GWh at 30 June.
