Upplandsbygd’s Young Planetary Stewards (YPS) programme matched 10 young applicants with local organisations to deliver participant-proposed green projects, with up to SEK 40,000 per person in funding alongside mentoring in project management. One project at the Eda Lägergård summer camp replaced static trail signs with QR-code signs covering biodiversity and site history. Other YPS projects span invasive-species clearing, frog pond creation, an oak tree inventory, bird boxes, insect hotels, a new hiking trail, and climate-conversation workshops in libraries.
