The MoU was signed on 3 June at the Japan-Norway Ocean Future Forum in Tokyo by NGI’s Perth managing director Noel Boylan and OYO’s energy business executive officer Tsukasa Endo. It covers site characterisation, seismic and geohazard assessment, advanced laboratory testing, and foundation design for fixed and floating offshore wind projects, and includes joint research and publications. The agreement formalises an existing working relationship, with joint projects expected in the coming months and technical team exchanges, including an OYO visit to NGI’s Perth facilities.
