The Global Justice Report from the World Inequality Lab, published on 4 June, projects that halving average annual working hours to 1,000, steeply taxing billionaires to shrink their wealth share from 6% to 0.05%, and reorienting investment towards education and healthcare would hold global temperature rise to 1.8°C by 2100 while doubling incomes for 89% of the world’s population and lifting average per capita gross national income to €5,000 a month.
